Study Visa Canada is a dream for many Indians because the country welcomes immigrants and gives them a fair chance to thrive and build their dream life. However, IRCC sometimes acts strangely, and they can make wrong decisions when suspicious.
Sometimes, they send a Procedural Fairness Letter, while usually refusing the application. Similar things happened to one of our clients. Taniya was refused twice for a perfect Canada study visa application, and those two refusals left us scratching our heads.
Her family was devastated by it since they were from the lower middle class and wanted a bright future for Taniya. Many relatives, people in their neighbourhood, and friends told them to change the agent, but they had unabashed confidence in our abilities since we had kept everything transparent.
You can read the Canada Study Visa Checklist if you want to apply for the visa on your own.
From telling them every little detail, using Taniya’s email ID for all applications to keep her updated, showing her all the documents and giving her a statement of purpose to read for any changes, we never hid anything. That’s why her family only wanted us as their agent, or they would drop their study abroad plans. Our clients’ love and trust make us the best study visa consultants in Ludhiana, and we wear them as a badge.
We were scratching our heads and immediately applied for Caips notes. We wanted to see why it’s happening. We were shocked when the Caips came, which was concerning.
Once any embassy raises concerns about your academics, it’s almost impossible to go through. However, if luck, determination and honesty are by your side, you can pull through. Taniya changed her mind as she consulted some other big agents of Ludhiana and even visited more different cities in Punjab. Most denied her case and told her it was a futile attempt to go for Canada.
Those who agreed to take her case requested lakhs in advance as their non-refundable fees. She did it to shut the mouths of her relatives and other people, but she was coming to us in the end. She told us she would meet other visa agents due to pressure from family and friends, but she knew the reality.
After a long call, Taniya’s mother told us they wanted to take a risk again. Mind you, we refunded her after a second refusal but not GIC. She has to bear some losses in Forex and college deduction fees as a refund policy.
We looked for a new course after her CAIPS notes and decided to go for a longer course. We chose an Advance Diploma in Accounting at Durham College, Oshawa Campus, since after her second refusal in Sept. 2022, she joined the office of Income Tax Advocate, where she would learn GST filing and other official works. We used this and her 12th-grade education in commerce and finalized the course and college.
Next, it was a challenge to satisfy the visa officer. The task looked impossible, and Taniya and her family were unprepared for the visa. However, we wanted to turn it in their favour.
In 2019, Taniya completed her 12th grade and was enrolled in a BBA course; however, in 2020, COVID-19, everything changed. She dropped out because she hated online classes, and when the dust settled, she decided to go to Canada after experiencing the fairness of the Canadian government during COVID-19 times.
She did the IELTS exam registration and scored a minimum of 6 bands in each module. After that, she considered joining a local computer institute to hone her computer skills, but her parents were busy arranging funds for her. She did a one-year diploma, and that thing the visa officer didn’t like. They gave her refusal twice without giving the actual reason in the refusal letter. Typical IRCC workings.
We requested that her computer institute give us the necessary documents, and they cooperated. After doing the necessary documentation, we wrote a cohesive and coherent statement of purpose, explaining why the decision was wrong and showing them why it was wrong. We gave them the necessary proof for it and TADA! On May 24, 2023, we broke the news to Taniya at around 6 am in India when she called us to check GC Key as IRCC had sent some emails to her. We told her to do that, but she was scared and wanted us to tell her the news.
Taniya’s voice was a bit low. She told us her mama had detected 4th stage Oral Cancer, and she was at the hospital in an emergency ward. The chances of her survival are slim, but you never know. We wanted to break the news to her as we had met her only once when she first visited our office in late 2021 for visa counselling and started the process in May 2022.
On June 16, 2023, her mother “Amarjit Kaur” passed away. However, she learned about Taniya’s visa and was comforted seeing her daughter’s dream fulfilled. Tragic life.
Taniya was heartbroken and wanted to stay back and requested that we refund the college fees. However, we advised her to move on in life since Mama is always a thought away, and it would be bad if she stayed back and cared for her young brother Josh and father. It was her mama’s dream to see her successful in Canada. She took time and agreed to go there.
Now, when we talk to her, she is happy and has learned to live with the loss. She is working, has a stable job and is maintaining her grades.
