You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.
Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter,
- describe the problem with the equipment
- explain how this problem is affecting your work
- say what you want the shop or company to do

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about the malfunctioning video camera I purchased from your shop last week for attending my meetings online while at home.
The problem I am facing is that the camera’s image quality is not up to the mark. That is to say, when I video call my colleagues, they sometimes cannot see me clearly, and sometimes, the image freezes. Other times, all they see is the black screen, although my voice is audible. I have tried repeatedly cleaning the lens and rebooting my laptop, but the problem persists.
It is impacting my work in the worst way imaginable, as due to this, I am not able to coordinate with my team, and our work is suffering as a result. Many projects are being delayed, which is causing a lot of trouble for both my company and clients. This has not only resulted in financial losses but also damaged my reputation.
I want my problem solved as a priority, either by you or the company. I want to replace my camera urgently because after 2 days, I have an all-important meeting with one of our international clients, and I cannot afford to fumble it due to the camera issues.
