WRITING TASK 1

You should spend 20 minutes on this task.

You have recently moved to a different house.

Write a letter to this English-speaking friend. In your letter:

  • describe the new house
  • invite your friend to come and visit

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear _________,

Answer –

Dear Joey,

I’m just writing to tell you I’ve shifted to a new house last Sunday.

I took this step because, first off, it was quite far from my new workplace, and the commute consumed a lot of time because the traffic has become crazy these days. On top of that, as you know, the neighbours were nagging me all the time, which wasn’t ideal for me.

Anyway, my new house is a 2-storey building with a 2000-square-foot area. It has a porch, a garden, 5 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a big hall, and a modular kitchen. All in all, it has all the modern amenities that I need and is fully furnished.

I’d be delighted if you came over to my house for a sleepover. I’m sure you’ll love this place, and it’s been a long time since we met, so we’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Also, the neighbours are friendly and well-educated, so you’ll have no trouble making new friends here.

I hope to see you soon.

Keep in touch,

Sam
