You should spend 20 minutes on this task.
You have seen an advertisement from a couple, who live in Australia, for someone to teach their two children your language for a year.
Write a letter to the couple. In your letter:
- explain why you think you would be suitable for the job
- say what else you could do for the family
- give your reasons for wanting the job
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith,
I am writing this letter with regard to the advertisement you posted for a Hindi language teacher for your two offspring for a year.
I believe I would be a good candidate for this position because, first of all, I am a native Hindi speaker with a standard accent. Additionally, I have three years of experience teaching the language to children at a famous school in my city, so I have experience handling juveniles, and I can provide good references from my previous job.
Apart from teaching your children the Hindi language, I can teach them drawing. I have attended an art school, and I can draw exceptionally well. Furthermore, I have been practising yoga consistently for almost five years, so I can give your family some yoga classes to keep you fit and teach your offspring the importance of good health.
I am highly interested in this position because I am moving to Australia soon on a work permit. I do not know anyone in this country, so it would be a good opportunity to fit into the culture. Additionally, working for an English-speaking family would help me improve my fluency in English.
