Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Answer –
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to bring to your attention some inaccuracies about my hometown, Ludhiana, in one of the articles, “The Museum”, published in your esteemed magazine for international travellers on 1st May 2024.
The main piece of misinformation I want to correct is that the author wrote in the article that Ludhiana’s museum is exclusively focused on maritime history and has many exhibits displaying it. However, our museum boasts a diverse collection, from local art to geology, and there is even a section dedicated to freedom fighters of my town.
Accurate information is paramount for travellers and your magazine’s credibility. Many travellers who like to visit other countries rely on your magazine to make informed decisions, and due to this error, they will miss out on the museum’s hidden gems. Not only that, but this will impact the museum’s revenue and the livelihood of local people, too.
To rectify this situation, I recommend you publish a new article with a correction note in the next available issue so your readers can know the correct information. Additionally, you should instruct your travel writers to rely on reliable sources and double-check their information from the government websites or ask concerned institutions.
Yours faithfully,
Dave Bautista
