The actual cost of Canada Study Visa

The Canada Study Visa costs CAD 235. Of this, $150 is the embassy fee, valid per application, and $85 is a biometric fee, valid for 10 years. If your visa is refused and you re-apply for a Canada study visa, you must pay only CAD 150 for the re-application.

On November 8, 2024, the Canadian Government abruptly shut down the SDS program. Hence, paying GIC is now optional.

Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) Cost – 
 
Before January 1, 2024, the GIC across Canada was CAD 10,000. However, with the new changes on January 1, 2024, the GIC fees have been revised to CAD 20,635, excluding the Quebec province. For GIC Information, please refer to the link here.
