  • suggest what should be done about the problem

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Answer –

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction on behalf of my neighbours with the inept functioning of the rubbish collection service in our area.

The main problem with the service being provided is the infrequent pick-ups. The person in charge of collecting waste from the houses does not come regularly and only comes once or twice a week, which leaves us with no other option but to collect the garbage in our homes until it is picked up. To make matters worse, when he does come to pick up, he litters the road because he has too much litter to collect and not enough space in his trash cart.

This situation is impacting us in the worst way possible, as many of us, including me, are suffering from either diarrhoea or whooping cough. Due to being constantly surrounded by trash, we are facing serious health issues, and some of my neighbours have to be admitted to hospital. In addition, the number of mosquitoes has increased significantly, which has led to many cases of dengue fever.

I would recommend that the rubbish should be collected from houses every day so that we can have some respite from the foul smell. Furthermore, the roads should be swept regularly, twice a day if possible, and pest control needs to be done. As the number of mosquitoes and houseflies has risen, we need the help of professionals to terminate them.

Please address these concerns as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Johnny Depp
