The bar chart displays how much money was spent on 6 consumer goods in Germany, Italy, France and Britain.
Overall, the British spent the highest amount of money on all the categories listed. Another interesting feature is that the French’s expenditure was the lowest on personal stereos, tennis racquets, and perfume, while for the other three products, Germany’s values were the lowest.
The money spent on CDs, toys, photographic films, and bottles of perfume in England, Wales and Scotland ranged between £160,000 and around £175,000, with money spent on photographic films higher than others. Moreover, the money invested in personal stereos and tennis rackets was the same in Britain, at approximately £115,000. Regarding Italy, the highest amount spent by Italians was on toys, at slightly under £160,000, which was about 2000 pounds more than on photographic films. The figures for CDs, perfume and tennis racquets were the same, at about £150 thousand, about a thousand pounds more than for the personal stereos.
Focusing on the remaining two nations, people in France spent the most on photographic films, with £165,000, while the figures for toys and CDs were identical at roughly £158,000, and the values for the remaining three categories were around £145,000. Furthermore, Germans spent similar values on all the six consumer goods, ranging from around £145,000 for photographic films to about £150 thousand for tennis racquets.
