Dear _________,

Answer –

Dear Sam,

I’m just writing to give you some advice from my time there on finding the best place to stay in New Delhi during your degree course.

While I was there, I lived in South Delhi. This part of the city is famous for its exotic lifestyle, high-rise buildings, and shopping complexes. But it’s also the most expensive area, and very few students live there, as the cost of living goes through the roof.

I reckon the best way to find a place for you would be to look up on the University of New Delhi’s website because you can find out about hostel prices. Also, you can find out if any PG is nearby from the website called “www.renters.com”, and then you can go over there in person to get a feel for what it’d be like to live in and then make your decision.

The biggest blunder students make is that they prefer to live in the posh part of the city, as I did. This isn’t advisable because you’ll often end up broke and have to work extra to manage your living expenses. That said, don’t look for too cheap options either, or else you’ll be spending most of your time travelling, which will negatively affect your studies.

Feel free to call if you have any doubts.

All the best,

John
