You should spend 20 minutes on this task.
A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum.
Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work. In your letter:
- explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
- describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
- give details of when you would be available for work
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:

I am writing to express my sincere interest in the part-time voluntary work available at the Museum of Indian Culture and Heritage in New Delhi.
I am keenly interested in doing this unpaid work so I can learn more about ancient Indian culture. This would be beneficial for me as I am studying Indian history at my university. In addition, I would like to make better use of my free time during the upcoming one-month summer vacation.
I already have good experience using software, such as Microsoft Excel, which would allow me to feed data and maintain a proper record of the museum’s daily visitors. I am also fluent in English, Hindi, and French, so I could work as a guide for foreign visitors.
Regarding my availability, my summer holidays will start on 1 June, and I will be available to start working at the museum from that date until the end of June. I would be grateful if you could assign me to the weekday morning shift and the weekend evening shift.
