Voxcel has done immense hard work writing Band 9 IELTS Writing Samples for Task 1 Academic and Task 2 General Training. Each IELTS Writing Task 1 sample is written on IELTS 4 band descriptors: Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammar Range & Accuracy (GRA).
Moreover, each Writing Task 1 sample is written using a proven writing structure that we teach our students to score at least band 7 in the writing module.
We only preach what we teach.
The links below contain all the variations of the Task 1 Academic and General Training Samples.
FOR Task 1 Academic:

And for IELTS General Writing Task 1:
- Formal Letter
- Informal Letter
- Semi-Formal Letter (Though technically, it’s the same as an informal letter)
We have done the same work on IELTS Writing Task 2. We have written on all four Band Descriptors: Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammar Range & accuracy (GRA).
There is no difference in structure or type of question between IELTS Academic Task 2 and IELTS General Task 2. Academic questions are more about science, while questions for general training focus more on life.
Persons and not any AI write the samples, so rest assured that you are reading answers written by the instructors, Mr Piyush Goyal and Varun Goyal, who have helped countless students in their study abroad and immigration journey.
Below is the list of Task 2 types:
- Agree/Disagree, To what extent do you agree/disagree, Positive/Negative Development, what is your opinion, is it good or bad. (They all are the same)
- Advantages and disadvantages, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, more advantages or more disadvantages, advantages outnumber disadvantages.
- Both views and give your own opinion.
- Problems and solutions, causes and solutions, causes and effects.
- Two-part question. (Some call it a double question)
