IELTS Writing – Band 9 Sample Answers

Voxcel has done immense hard work writing Band 9 IELTS Writing Samples for Task 1 Academic and Task 2 General Training. Each IELTS Writing Task 1 sample is written on IELTS 4 band descriptors: Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammar Range  & Accuracy (GRA).

Moreover, each Writing Task 1  sample is written using a proven writing structure that we teach our students to score at least band 7 in the writing module.

There is no difference in structure or type of question between IELTS Academic Task 2 and IELTS General Task 2. Academic questions are more about science, while questions for general training focus more on life.

  1. Agree/Disagree, To what extent do you agree/disagree, Positive/Negative Development, what is your opinion, is it good or bad. (They all are the same)
  2. Advantages and disadvantages, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, more advantages or more disadvantages, advantages outnumber disadvantages.
  3. Both views and give your own opinion.
  4. Problems and solutions, causes and solutions, causes and effects.
  5. Two-part question. (Some call it a double question)
